One day, cars may run on fuel cells. fuel cells obtain energy from the synthesis of gaseous water from hydrogen and oxygen. if all cars switched from burning fossil fuels to fuel cells, which might you expect to also occur?

a.an increase in the price of gasoline
b.an increase in carbon dioxide emissions
c.an increase in the number of gas stations
d.an increase in the water vapor content of earth's atmosphere

most likely d because water is being used for energy, therefore releasing water vapo. Also by process of elimination, that´s the one that makes sense lol.

Answer: d.an increase in the water vapor content of earth's atmosphere

Step-by-step explanation:

Fossil fuels are fuels formed in the earth from plant or animal remains. It is mostly composed of coal, natural gas and petroleum. Combustion of fossil fuels also produces pollutants such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and others.

Fuel cells are electrochemical cells that converts the chemical energy of a fuel and an oxidizing agent into electricity by use of redox reactions. They mostly involve use of hydrogen and oxygen which forms water as a bye product.

H_2\rightarrow 2H^++2e^-

(1)/(2)O_2+2H^+2e^-\rightarrow H_2O

Thus if all cars switched from burning fossil fuels to fuel cells, an increase in the water vapor content of earth's atmosphere.
