regroup: (4x³-12x²)+(7x-21)
factor: 4x²(x-3)+7(x-3)
factor again: (x-3)(4x²+7)

The correct answer for this problem would be D. (4x^2 + 7)(x – 3) .

Hope this helps and clears up any confusion!
