Solve the equation

15(x-3)
———- = 3(2x-3) WITHOUT

using the distributive property. Please explain how you did it!

Simplify the fraction on the left
3(x -3) = 3(2x -3)
Divide by 3
x -3 = 2x -3
Subtract the left side
0 = (2x -3) -(x -3)
0 = x

The solution is x = 0.
