What is the probability of getting a sum of 5 when you roll two number cubes

on each roll, there is a probability of 4/36 = 1/9

the expectation is that you will get a sum of 5
once in every 9 rolls.

You have to think of all posibilltiies
3,2
2,3
4,1
1,4
Those are number that can happen so the answer would be 4/6 because there are 6 numbers on a number cube = 2/3
