I you dont know do not answer it please i want a good answer

1. To help his students understand how ordinary Germans could have allowed Hitler to rise to power, high school history teacher Ron Jones did an experiment with his class. Telling them that it is important to have strength through discipline and community, he required strict obedience and the adoption of a special salute. Students received membership cards, stopped questioning anything Mr. Jones told them, and bullied any students who did not follow the new rules. Mr. Jones called this movement the Third Wave. At the end of the week, he called a rally and told the students that they had been manipulated into acting like citizens of Nazi Germany.

Write an analysis of this experiment. Your analysis should address the following questions:
• What were the status and role of Mr. Jones? What were the status and role of his students?
• Identify at least one norm, at least one symbol, and at least one value in the Third Wave.
• How does the experiment illustrate the power of conformity and groupthink?
• How does the Third Wave illustrate the idea that deviance is relative?

1) Mr. Jones status and role is similar to Hitler, in that he was acting as the 'supreme leader'. The role and status of his students were like the 'german people', thinking that what they are doing is right and beneficial, when in reality it hurts others.
2) norm: discipline, in that they must follow orders to the word. symbol, is the membership cards, in that with it, they know that they are 'part of the group', and is superior. Value, is the fact that they have strength through discipline and community.
3) With the use of Conformity and groupthink, they were able to first change the student's persepective, and to use them later on to change others into becoming like them, and to deny positive impacts to those who fail to comply to the rules
4) For those who fail to follow the 'standards' were considered outcasts and mistreated, while those who follow the 'standards' are known to be better, outstanding citizens.

hope this helps
