People who hate reality shows are really just old, humorless sourpusses.

What propaganda technique does the writer employ in this statement?

The technique is name-calling.

With this technique, people who hate reality shows are connected to the negative ideas of being "old" and "humorless." Whoever would make this argument would want the reader to reject seeming old and humorless and therefore embrace reality shows.

Ad hominem
This is a propaganda technique whereby users attacks the person instead of their arguments. In the above statement, the propagandist should have counteracted the tons of reasons behind people who do not like reality TV, and offered a counter- argument.
Instead, the propagandist chose to attack the people who do not like Reality TV instead of the argument.
It is one of the widely used propaganda technique by politicians.
