What lesson did Bolívar draw from European history?

He learned about enlightenment ideals and about Napoleon and how countries broke apart and how people suffered because of tyranny of the monarchs and because of colonization, so he decided to help his country gain independence and become a democratic country, something like a republic, where people would be equals.
