Hi there!
The following is an oxymoron, since both words mean the opposite of each other.
The definition of an oxymoron is two words (or two sets of words) that are the opposite of each other but mean something other than that.

Deafening Silence is an example of an oxymoron because it simply can't exist. Deafening is a word that is used to describe something that is really loud. Loud and Silent are opposites. This is how I know that statement is an oxymoron.
