Answer: D. g(x)

Step-by-step explanation: since,f(x)=-x^4-2

x^4>=0 for all x so,-x^4<=0 for all x

⇒ -x^4-2<=-2 for all x

⇒ f(x)<=-2 for all x so, maximum possible value of f(x)=-2

whereas g(x)= -3x^3+2 can take values from (-∞,∞)

so, g(x) has the maximum y value
