1 yard = 3 foot

Width in yards =
(4)/(3) yards

Length in yards =
(280)/(3) yards

Depth in yards =
(0.75)/(3) yards


Volume of the pit = Length * Width * Depth

=
(4)/(3) *(280)/(3) *(0.75)/(3)

=
(4*280*0.75)/(3*3*3)

=
(840)/(27)

=
31.11 cubic yards.
