Europeans brought numerous diseases and bacteria from Europe that they didn't know were dangerous since they were all used to them since birth. They didn't even know they had them on themselves. That's why when they started trading with Natives, the natives started getting ill and dying because they didn't have necessary antibodies that the Europeans had.
