You have to formulate an equation for this problem.

Let x = the number asked in the problem

5x – 4 = 3x + 6

Solve the equation.

5x – 3x = 6 + 4

2x = 10

X = 5

Therefore, the number is 5.

Hey \\ there!

5s - 4 = 3s + 6 \\ 5s - 3s = 4 + 6 \\ 5s - 3s = 2s \\ 4 + 6 = 10 \\ 2s = 10 \\ (2s)/(2) = (10)/(2) \\ (2s)/(2) = 1 (Cancel) \\ (10)/(2) = 5 (Keep) \\ Answer: s = 4

Good \\ luck \\ on \\ your \\ assignment \\ and \\ enjoy \\ day \\ \\ \\ \\ LoveYourselfFirst:)
