intersecting means f(x)=g(x)
2x+7=x²-1
x²-2x-8=0
(x-4)(x+2)=0
x=4, or x=-2
when x=4, f(x)=g(x)=15
when x=-2, f(x)=g(x)=3
so the intersecting points are (4, 15) and (-2, 3)
