X^2/ 100 + Y^2/ 25 =1

(x squared over 100 plus y squared over 25 equals 1)
The y-intercepts are at:

(-10, 0) and (10, 0)
(0, 10) and (0, 5)
(0, -5) and (0, 5)

The y-intercepts are at (0, 5) and (0, -5).

Every y-intercept has an x-coordinate of 0. Substituting 0 in for x we have:

(0^2)/(100)+(y^2)/(25)=1 \\ \\0+(y^2)/(25)=1 \\ \\(y^2)/(25)=1 \\ \\y^2=25 \\√(y^2)=√(25) \\y=\pm5
