Three ways in which the Industrial Revolution changed society in a negative way includes cities becoming more crowded, the unsafe working conditions in factories, and that children were forced to work at an early age and faced an unsafe and abusive environment when they went to work in the factories.

This is the sample answer to the question.

Here are some of the negative effects of the Industrial Revolution:

  • People worked long hours and in dangerous conditions.
  • An abundance of cheap labor in cities meant that factory workers received low wages.
  • Only some people became rich.

The industrial and economic developments of the Industrial Revolution brought significant social changes. Industrialization resulted in an increase in population and the phenomenon of urbanization, as a growing number of people moved to urban centres in search of employment.

Effects of the Industrial Revolution on living and working conditions, urbanization (the growth of cities), child labor, public health, working class family life, the role of women, the emerging middle class, and economic growth and income.
