Answer:

Life consists of three domains bacteria, archaea, and eukaryotes. Bacteria and archaea are the two domains which can be found everywhere on the earth. Organisms from these two domains can be found in extreme conditions where eukaryotes cannot survive. These organisms are called extremophiles.

Deep subsurface has some extreme environment like high temperature and pressure where survival of eukaryotes is not possible but organisms from domain archaea and bacteria can flourish there.

These microorganisms have evolved some mechanism like special enzymes and protecting capsules which protect them in extreme climate of deep subsurface.

Therefore the domain of life seems to be absent for deep-subsurface communities is eukarya.

Life has three domains: eukarya, bacteria and archaea. Eukarya is the category which contains all the organisms that have cells containing a nucleus. Organisms found in these deep-subsurface communities are often called extremophiles, meaning an organism whose natural habitat is an environment of extreme physical and geochemical conditions. Archaea and bacteria do not have internal cell membranes, contrary to eukarya.
