The favorable outcomes are the outcomes we want (aka the outcomes we favor or like). Think of it as a gambling game. If the goal is to roll an odd number, then we need to roll a 1, a 3 or a 5. We don't want 2, 4 or 6 as those are even.
The answer is choice A) 1, 3, 5
