1. Volume would be 5*3*9. Which is 135. Therefore number 1 is 135 cubic inches
2. You set up the equation by
plugging in 2(5 x 3) + 2(5 x 9) + 2(3 x 9). This makes the surface area 174.

the volume is 5x3x9= 135inches
surface area= surface area is 174 because
3x9= (27x2)=54
5x9=(45x2) =90
3x5= (15x2) =30
so 54+90+30 is 174
because you have to find the area of each face, and then plus them together
