Assumed all children
1300 x 1 = $1300
Extra collection:
1951 - 1300 = $651
Difference in price = $2.50 - $1.00 = $1.50
$651 ÷ 1.5 = 434 adults
1300 - 434 = 866 children
Ans:
434 adults and 866 children

x = adults
y = children
x + y = 1300
2.5x + y = 1951 Subtract these two equations.
-1.5x = - 651
x = -651/-1.5
x = 434 Adults
y = 1300 - x
y = 1300 - 434
y = 866 children
