b 4.0 cm because if you think about it the one that says 3.3 cm is actually just slightly shorter than w so it has to be 4.0cm

Answer

B) 4.0 cm

Step-by-step explanation

First, we can adapt the law of sines to the notation of our triangle:

(sin(W))/(w) =(sin(U))/(u)

Now, we can infer from our diagram that
W=39,
U=31, and
u=3.3, so we can replace the values in our previous expression:

(sin(W))/(w) =(sin(U))/(u)

(sin(39))/(w) =(sin(31))/(3.3)

Finally, we can solve for
w:

(3.3sin(39))/(w) =sin(31)

3.3sin(39)=wsin(31)

(3.3sin(39))/(sin(31)) =w

w=(3.3sin(39))/(sin(31))

w=4.03224

Which rounds to
w=4.0

We can conclude that the best approximation of w is 4.0 cm
