Given equation:

Ca(OH)2 + H3PO3 → Ca3(PO3)2 + H2O

Reactants: Products:

Ca = 1 Ca = 3

O = 5 O = 7

H = 5 H = 2

P = 1 P = 2

Balanced equation:

3Ca(OH)2 + 2H3PO3 → Ca3(PO3)2 + 6H2O
