The box of candies is shared equally among 9,12, or 18 children, there are always 6 candies left. Find the smallest number of candies in the box?

Answer: 42

Explanation:

To solve this question, we have to find the lowest common multiple of 9, 12 and 18 and then add 6. This will be:

Multiple of 9 = 9, 18, 27, 36, 45

Multiple of 12 = 12, 24, 36, 48, 60

Multiple of 18 = 18, 36, 54, 72, 90

The lowest common multiple is 36. Ww will then add 6. This will be:

= 36 + 6

= 42
