Hello there!
Today we are just working with dividing functions.
f(x)=4x+1 and g(x)=x²-5 and we want to find (g/f)(x).
just take the expression given by g(x) and put it over the expression given by f(x).
x²-5/4x+1 is the answer, BUT, a more explicit answer is c because it also states what x CANNOT be.
This is why x²-5/4x+1, x cannot equal -1/4 is the answer. This is simply because you can't divide by zero and by setting the denominator equal to 0, you can figure out what x can't be.
This means that c is the answer!
I really hope this helps!
Best wishes :)
