Answer:

6 1/2 laps

Explanation:

If each lap is half a mile, multiply the number of miles by two. 3*2=6. Then, 1/4 is 1/2 of 1/2. So you get 6 1/2. If you are looking for WHOLE miles only, the answer is 6.
