Explanation:

Lets assume the two angles are complementary i.e at right angles

The sum of complementary angles is 90 degrees

Hence 3x + 2x = 90

5x = 90

x = 90/5

x = 18

Smallest angle = 2x

Smallest angle = 2(18)

Smallest angle = 36 degrees

Hence the measure of the Smallest angle is 36 degrees
