Read the sentence. Antarctica is often associated with the magnetic South Pole. They are actually 1,600 miles apart. Which choice shows the punctuation and/or conjunction neede to correctly combine the sentences?

Antarctica is often associated with the magnetic South Pole; however, they are actually 1,600 miles apart.

Hopefully, this is a choice because it is how to combine the sentences using a conjunction (however) and correct punctuation. You would need to use the semicolon because they are both complete sentences by themselves.
