Vehicles are heavy and have a lot of inertia. This means that if you drive too fast on a curve, your vehicle will keep going straight instead of going around the curve, no matter how hard you drive or slow down to keep it in your lane. Centrifugal force creates a strong outward pull on your vehicle. So all you need to do is slow down before entering a corner. Reducing your speed when you are already on a bend can cause your car to skid.

Because the force required to produce this acceleration equals the mass of the car x acceleration, the group of the car is the same but the acceleration is a lot more hence a much bigger force is required. So this is why it's harder for cars to corner at a high speed rather than lower.
