A huge body of air that has similar temperature, humidity, and air pressure at any given height is called an Air Mass. There are 2 kinds of Air Masses which are classified according to Temperature and Humidity : a) The Tropical (warm air masses) form in the tropics and have LOW air pressure. b) Polar (cold air masses) form north of 50° N or south of 50° S. and have HIGH air pressure.
