3 1/2 - 2 5/9 = 17/18

LCM of 9 and 2 is 18

Then, you change it to an improper question
3 1/2 = 7/2 = 63/18
2 5/9 = 23/9 = 46/18

63/18 - 46/18 = 17/18

The answer is 7/18
or 0.39 in decimal
