The two monomial have the same variable to the same power so you just subtract the 14 from 10:

10y^(10)-14y^(10)\\\\(10-14)y^(10)\\\\-4y^(10)

Answer:

The required solution is
-4y^(10).

Explanation:

The given expression is

10y^(10)-14y^(10)

Take out the common factor
y^(10) from both terms.

y^(10)(10-14)

y^(10)(-4)

-4y^(10)

Therefore the required solution is
-4y^(10).
