arithmetic sequence is a sequence where terms or added or subtracted by the same constant.

always subtract from 2nd term to 1st term

10-6=6

22-16=6

both of the answers results as
6, so
6 is your common difference.

Answer:

6

Explanation:

Common difference of an arithmetic progression is the difference between the preceding term and the succeeding term of the sequence.

Given the arithmetic sequence 4,10,16,22...

To calculate the common difference, first, we say let the first term be T1, second term be T2, third term be T3 and the fourth term be T4.

Taking the difference of the terms to know the common difference can be gotten as thus;

T2-T1 = T3-T2 = T4-T3 = k

The value of k must be the same for all the difference. This will give;

10-4 = 16-10 = 22-16 = 6

Since their difference gave the same value, therefore the common difference of the sequence is 6
