Parabolas in the form of
\sf y=x^2 open upwards or downwards.
Parabolas in the form of
\sf x=y^2 open to the left or to the right.

Since this parabola opens upward, we know it must be in the form of
\sf y=x^2. Also, if the coefficient of 'x' is positive, it opens upward, but if it is negative, it opens downward. This parabola opens upward, so we know that the coefficient of 'x' must be positive. Therefore, our answer must be D,
\sf y=2x^2

D, Because the equation must be in slope intercept (y=mx+b) and since it is going upwards (all positive nunbers) then the slope would be positive as well. I hope this helps!
