1. a^(3+(-2)) = a^1 or a
2. (1/b)^3 = (1/b)•(1/b)•(1/b) = 1/b^3
3. x^8/x^4 = x^(8-4) = x^4
4. a^(1-(-2))b^((-3)-1) = a^3b^4
5. (2x^(2)y^(4))^3 = (2x^(2)y^(4))•(2x^(2)y^(4))•(2x^(2)y^(4)) = 8x^6y^12
6. (2/3)^-2 = 1/(2/3)^2 = 1/(4/9) or 9/4
7. 1
8. 2^0+4(1/2)^(-2) = 1 + 4(4) = 1 + 16 = 17
9. xy^2 • x^4y^6 = x^5y^8
10. b^(2/3)+(3/2) = b^(4/6+9/6) = b^(13/6)
