The answer is choice D
As the x values go to negative infinity, the function's values go to positive infinity

Put another way, as x gets larger in the negative direction, y gets larger in the positive direction. Imagine there is a point on the blue curve that is free to move around as long as it stays on the blue curve the entire time. If you slide this point to the left, then it will eventually head upward infinitely as you move along the left-most branch.
