A. heightened emotion and reverence for nature

This period in literature was one of rejection of the aristocratic classes and a return to the simpler things in life. This was poetry that encouraged the expression of deep emotions and didn't much care for logic.

Some beautiful and profound poetry was written during this period and it really shaped the atmosphere of Europe in the era of its prominence.

The other answers are pretty much the antithesis of what this period was about.
