a. Akhenaten
Akhenaten is generally accepted as the father of Tutankhamun, even if his mother was not Nefertiti, Akhenaten's wife. Akhenaten was a pharaoh of the 18th dynasty and his reign was from 1353–1336 BC or 1351–1334 BC and he is generally remembered for his try to shift the Egypt religion from a polytheistic base to a nearly monotheistic cult with Aten as the primary god.
