I believe that they should not be allowed to do that, as that is using chemicals that not only can hurt you but make fruit go bad faster as well.

I believe that they should not because the fruits should have time to ripen properly and in the proper conditions. As well as foods that have added chemicals are not as healthy and are to an extent detrimental to your health.
