PLEASE HELP! Two numbers have a sum of one and a product of -6 Use the quadratic equation -n squared plus n plus 6 equals 0 to determine the two numbers

since it says two numbers have a sum of one and a product of -6
so let one be x and one be y
you need to find the factors of -6 which is 1 and 6, and 2 and 3
the negative doesn't matter to which one.

only 3 and -2 add up to 1 and have a product of -6
the quadratic equation is ax² + bx + c
-n² + n + 6 = 0
( n + 3 ) ( n - 2 ) = 0
