2. The base-pairing rule states that A can only pair with T and C with G.

So, T G C A A T

3. Messenger RNA is the complementary strand of the DNA with one exception: A pairs with U. Because RNA has a different sugar than DNA (ribose), thymine can no longer "Fit" with adenine and uracil is used instead. So, U G C A A U
