To solve the given equation
P=hr(1-d)

By using the distributive property "a(b+c)=ab+ac"

P=hr-hrd

hrd=hr-P

d=(hr-P)/(hr)

d=1-(P)/(hr)

Therefore,
d=1-(P)/(hr) is the value of 'd'.
