The dimensions of the new rectangle would be 32 cm by 12 cm. This is an enlargement.

Since the scale factor is 4, we multiply the dimensions of the original rectangle, the preimage, by 4. 8*4 = 32 and 3*4 = 12.

Since the new dimensions are larger than the old dimensions, it is an enlargement.
