Created city planning
Transportation created city planning with businesses in the center or downtown and residential areas radiating out from the center. Increased transportation allowed for goods to be moved in and out of the city as well as workers. Items could be created in business and factory centers while workers lived in residential areas. The transportation systems allowed for workers to live in areas away from their jobs and the filth of industry creating neighborhoods.

The development of public transportation system such as stated above revolutionize the way we move and transport. It makes travel faster and more efficient thus making far away distances nearer due to faster and more efficient means of transportation. It impacts the major cities the most because the way they transport the goods and things were much faster and in a larger amount. It also lessen the time of travel thus making life more easier and faster.
