Why does a plant cell need a cell wall of cellulose whereas an animal cell does not?

The cell wall houses chloroplasts, which animal cells do not need.

Only animals have a cytoskeleton, which serves the same function as a cell wall in plant cells.

Plant cells receive structure from the cell wall to help them remain upright, which animals do not need.

Water and minerals are transported through plant cell walls, whereas animal cells transport water and minerals through the cell membrane.

Hope the helped, you can read this and make a educated guess based off information given.

All cells have cell membranes, and the membranes are flexible. So animal cells canhave various shapes, but plant cells only have the shapes of their cell walls. That's nice for plants, because it gives them the ability to grow up and out, where they can get lots of sunlight for making their food.
