cos x = (a)/(h) , so a = 12, h = 13

sinx= (o)/(h), so o = 5, h = 13

tanx = (o)/(a)

tanx = (5)/(12)

Or

tanx = (sinx)/(cosx)

tanx = ( (5)/(13))/( (12)/(13) )

tanx = (5)/(12)

\tan x = (\sin x)/(\cos x)

\tan x = ((5)/(13))/((12)/(13))

\tan x = (5)/(13) * (13)/(12)

\tan x = (5)/(12)
