f(x+5)=(x+5)²+3(x+5)-10
f(x)=x²+10x+25+3x+15-10
f(x)=x²+13x+30
k=13

x
²+13x+30=0
(x+3)(x+10)=0
x=-3 or -10
the smallest zeros is x=-10
