Suppose a population of 175 crayfish doubles in size every month. the function f(x) = 175(2x) gives the population after x months. how many crayfish will there be after 1 year?

The first thing we will do in this case is to rewrite the expression correctly.
We have then:
f (x) = 175 * (2 ^ x)
Then, you should know that 1 year contains 12 months.
So we have that for x = 12:
f (12) = 175 * (2 ^ 12)
f (12) = 716800
Answer:
there will be 716800 crayfishes after 1 year
