By definition, the circumference of a circle is given by:
C = 2πR.
Where,
R: radius of the circle.
Substituting we have:
6π = 2πR
We cleared R:
R = (6π) / (2π)
R = 3
Then, look for the area of the circle which will be given by:
A = πR ^ 2
Substituting the values:
A = π (3) ^ 2
A = 9π units ^ 2
Answer:
The area of the circle is:
A = 9π units ^ 2
