During childhood, schools serve as important agents of socialization since they transmit many norms, values and codes of conduct to students. One key contribution of schooling to the socialization is that it serves to teach children positive norms and values such as handwork, commitment to deadlines, respect for authority, disciplined behavior, and so on.
