Lets get started :)

The formula for the Lateral Area of Square-based Pyramid
L.A =
(1)/(2) (Perimeter of the base) x Apothem

Given:
Apothem = 10 in
Side length = 5 in
Perimeter of Square = 4 x side = 4 x 5 = 20 in

L.A =
(1)/(2) (20)(10)
=
(1)/(2) (200)
= 100 in²
