Change it into a formula:

y = (1)/(4) x - 12
Change x and y and solve for y:

x = (1)/(4) y - 12
Remove the fraction by multiplying both sides by 4:

4x = y - 48
Then solve for y:

y = 4x + 48
The inverse is:

{f(x)}^(-1) = 4x + 48
